November 2025 〰️ David David unveils his latest monumental sculpture at the old course Old Course golf club in Mandelieu, French Riviera.
He is the creator of Blind, a now-iconic figure whose face is concealed by a bucket. Rendered in bronze, resin, steel or wood, Blind embodies the willful blindness of modern society — its addiction to consumption, screens, and surface. Through this character, David David questions our relationship to what truly matters, without ever preaching.
His work unfolds at every scale: collectible sculptures, acrylic paintings, monumental installations, and public commissions. His pieces have been acquired by the cities of Antibes and Toulouse, and exhibited at Nice Côte d’Azur Airport, La Chèvre d’Or (a Relais & Châteaux property in Èze, French Riviera), the Pompidou Museum in Metz, and the Old Course in Mandelieu. He has also collaborated with Mercedes, Hermès, and the Relais & Châteaux group.
In 2024, David David unveiled a contemporary reinterpretation of the Wallace Fountains — Paris’s iconic drinking fountains, a landmark of French heritage since 1872 — in collaboration with GHM, the historic foundry that has produced the fountains for over 150 years. This project places his work within a continuous lineage of French cultural heritage.
He is now developing Plainness, a new cycle marked by a more stripped-down, raw aesthetic — where volume outweighs detail, posture speaks louder than expression, and material stands on its own.
